Founded in 2009, Y & I Events is a woman and minority owned décor company located in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Named after her children’s initials, Yasmin is the owner and creative mind behind Y & I Events. Born in Somalia and residing in many US states before landing in Minnesota, Yasmin has an in-depth knowledge of ethnic and multi-cultural celebrations. Her background in finance, banking, retail, and manufacturing is the perfect foundation to guide clients through the design and décor process. Her keen eye for color coordination, décor aesthetics, and managing the large picture are a few traits she prides herself with. With 16 plus years of experience, Yasmin continues to provide a timeless level of design, a unique selection of décor inventory, and an unparalleled execution of event installations.
